Program for the anniversary meeting in May 2027 in Dresden

Wednesday, 5 May 2027
We look forward to welcoming you at the statue of Martin Luther at the foot of the Frauenkirche on Neumarkt in Dresden in the afternoon.
The outdoor areas of the restaurants nearby offer plenty of opportunities to eat and drink.

Thursday, 6 May 2027
A walking tour takes us through the historic old town. One challenge will be the “Eierschecke”-comparison between the Dresden and Freiberg Eierschecke. (Saxon custard-egg cake).
It will be ”neutralized by eggnog.
In the afternoon there will be a city tour on a double-decker bus through the city and its surrounding areas.
WELCOME ABOARD
On the welcoming evening the paddle steamer will take us upriver along the Elbe to Pilnitz Palace. Over a three-course meal and with good music we will enjoy the sunset on board and take in the magical evening lights along the Elbe River.

Saturday, 08.05.2027
This morning there will be the opportunity to take a double-decker bus tour for anyone who was unable to join the tour on Thursday.
There are several optional activities planned for the day: Green Vault, Residenz Palace, Zwinger, Semper Opera House
Church tour (visit to the Frauenkirche, Catholic Court Church, Kreuzkirche)

The highlight of our gathering will take place this evening – the festive ball at the
Watzke Ball & Brewery.
A buffet prepared by the hotel’s kitchen awaits us In the ballroom.
A selection of beverages includes, among other things, house-brewed beer ranging form 0,1 to 0,5 litres.
you can enjoy the pint of beer on the patio, and there will be music all the evening.

Samstag, 08.05.2027
Am Vormittag besteht die Gelegenheit der Doppeldeckerbusfahrt für alle, die das am Donnerstag nicht geschafft haben.

Für den Nachmittag stehen optionale Programmpunkte an: Grünes Gewölbe, Residenzschloß, Zwinger, Semperoper, Kirchentour / Besuch von Frauenkirche, Katholischer Hofkirche, Kreuzkirche

Abendprogramm

Wir feiern 40 Jahre Klub der Großen in Deutschland e.V. Macht euch schick (es muss nicht das große Ballkleid und der Smoking sein) und lasst uns feiern im Ball- & Brauhaus Watzke.

Im Ballsaal erwartet uns ein umfangreiches Büffet aus der Küche des Hauses. Die Tischgetränke sind inklusive. Dazu gehören Wasser, Softdrinks und natürlich die hausgebrauten Biere in den Abfüllungen 0,1 bis 0,5 Liter sowie Rot- Weißwein der Hausmarke. Die Maß kann auf dem Freisitz genossen werden. Für weitere Getränkewünsche steht die Bar exklusiv zur Verfügung. Mit musikalischer Begleitung geht es durch den Abend.

There are also plenty of accommodation to stay the nights in the city.
Our meeting spot in the city centre and along the Elbe River are within walking distance so there is no need to walk far.
